VAIL OFFICIAL REPORT: 8″ new snow in last 24 hours as of 5 a.m.

VAIL DAILY FIELD REPORT: Only an inch or two fell since the closing of the mountain yesterday, but there was newly opened terrain on the west side of the mountain to start the day, with 3 to 4 feet of untouched powder.

CONDITIONS: Snowing hard, very little visibility on Eagle’s Nest Ridge at the top of Chair 2
