On the Hill video report: Tough Mudder at Beaver Creek
June 19, 2013
Today’s activity: The Tough Mudder 2013 at Beaver Creek
Conditions: On a nice June day, thousands of people visited Beaver Creek to challenge themselves in the 2013 Tough Mudder 11-mile obstacle course. A franchise series that has events all over the globe , Beaver Creek’s is among the most difficult of all due to the elevation at which the event takes place (above 9,000 feet) and the elevation gain the actual course encounters. Obstacles like wall climbs, barbed wire features and an electroshock pit make it even more intimidating.
Today’s weather: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 68. West northwest wind around 10 mph. — National Weather Service
