VIDEO: Mountain bike the Minturn Mile
VIDEO: Vail Daily On the Hill correspondent John LaConte reports from the Cougar Ridge trail in the area known as the Minturn Mile as volunteers from the Vail Valley Mountain Bike Association and Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado teamed up with the U.S. Forest Service to fix up a portion of the trail. It opened late the afternoon of Sunday, Oct. 2, which also happened to be the last day for lift service from Vail Mountain, and the Vail Daily was able to enlist in the services of local mountain biker Andrew Wight who rode the trail from the top of Vail Mountain to the town of Minturn, capturing footage of the new section of trail.
