MINTURN, Colorado ” Orlando “OJ” John Quintana, who spent much of his life in Minturn, Colorado, died Dec. 9.

He was born Aug. 29,1957 in Glenwood Springs to Isidoro and Frances Quintana. OJ lived most of his life in Minturn, where he attended elementary, middle and high school.

He was a great wrestler and took pride in knowing that his brothers, nephews and great-nephews followed in his footsteps. He also was a huge Denver Broncos fan.



OJ met and later married Tami LaComb of Leadville.

OJ was preceded in death by both maternal and paternal grandparents, his father, Isidoro Quintana, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

OJ is survived by his wife, Tami Quintana; daughters Danielle Quintana-Trujillo and Dionne Quintana-Trujillo; son Richard Quintana-Davidson; stepdaughter Christina Hernandez; grandson Angelo Quintana; granddaughter Alexis Quintana; step-grandaughter Oliva Hernandez; mother Frances Quintana; father and mother-in-law Dale and Lois Gooch; brothers and sisters Debbie (Roy) Mascarenas, Darlene (Manny) Medina, Randy (Patsy) Quintana, Edward (Connie) Quintana, Jamie (Isabel Chavez) Quintana, Valorie (Dowdie) Nelson, Desi (Sabrina Nieto) Quintana, Albert (Tiffany) Quintana, Marcella Martinez; and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous special friends.

He will be remembered for his beautiful smile and dimples.

A service in honor of OJ will be held at 6 p.m., Wednesday at Minturn Middle School in Maloit Park.
