VAIL — Attendees will gain hands-on experience and hear case discussions firsthand from leading international experts on the latest in knee arthroscopy and treatment of complex knee injuries at the third annual Vail International Knee Symposium.
Steadman Clinic orthopedic surgeon Robert LePrade, MD, Ph.D., and Lars Engebretsen, MD, Ph.D., of the Oslo Hospital in Norway, have teamed with global medical technology business Smith & Nephew to bring the course to Vail from Thursday through June 11..
Sessions to attend
There will be seven sessions featured during the three-day symposium, at both the Vail Marriott and Steadman Philippon Research Institute. Sessions will focus on anatomic-based knee reconstructions, most of which were developed by LaPrade and Engebretsen, and will feature lectures and live surgical demonstrations.
“(Vail International Knee Symposium) is becoming known as the course to attend for those knee surgeons who wish to learn more about the treatment of complex knee injuries,” LaPrade said in a news release. “We have assembled a dream team of international sports surgeons who represent the best of the best in our field.”
