“We’re excited to bring these rich, compelling short stories to Vail. Critics have been hailing this year as one of the strongest in recent years. The Vail audience will have the opportunity to watch the shorts before they announce the winner on Feb. 22, perfect for a little friendly Academy Awards competition,” said Megen Musegades, Vail Film Festival associate director.
The films include: “Aya,” “Boogaloo and Graham,” “Butter Lamp (La Lampe au Beurre de Yak),” “Parvaneh” and “The Phone Call.”
The 12th annual Vail Film Festival, which takes place March 26–29, will showcase over 50 films from around the world, including narrative features, documentaries, short films, student films, environmental films and a family film showcase.
