A Halloween fashion show is set to rock the Rumpus Room on Friday, Oct. 13. Bare Essentials and the Rumpus Room are presenting the first fashion show, beginning at 8 p.m. Music by DJ T-Bone and DJ Late Night will keep things moving. For more information, check out shakeyourrumpus.com.

New York City Ballet star Damian Woetzel has agreed to take the reins of the Vail International Dance Festival for the 2008 season and serve as artistic advisor for the 2007 season.Woetzel will continue to dance as a principal dancer at New York City Ballet and as a guest artist nationally and internationally. We are thrilled to have Damian join forces with the Foundation for the Vail International Dance Festival, said Ceil Folz, president of the Vail Valley Foundation, Not only is he one of the preeminent dancers in the world today, but he is also familiar with the festival, having performed here numerous times, dating back to 1993. We are very excited to have his unique vision and leadership at the helm of the Festival.In addition to his artistic activities, Woetzel is currently finishing a masters degree in Public Administration at Harvard Universitys Kennedy School of Government, and is a charter member of the National Committee on U.S./China Relations Young Leaders Forum, which is dedicated to forming bonds between the future leaders of the two countries. Woetzel will replace Katherine Kersten, who leaves the Dance Festival following the conclusion of the 2006 event, to pursue other career opportunities after 15 years at the helm of the program.



Donations of good condition adult and childrens coats, mittens, hats and scarves will be accepted at the Nash & Company offices located on the front corner of the First & Main Building in the Riverwalk at Edwards (across from the movie theatre) the entire week of Oct. 9 – 13.Donors can drop by to join Nash & Company as they open their newly renovated Real Estate Gallery & Technology Center to the community, from 4:30 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11.
