Package offered for Vail-Avon race spectators

DENVER, Colorado – The USA Pro Cycling Challenge, a free event taking place in Colorado Aug. 22-28, is selling VIP lodging and spectator packages for more than $2,000 each for the Vail portion of the race, organizers said Monday in a press release.

There are also packages for the Aspen and Breckenridge parts of the race.

The Vail time trial package runs from Aug. 24-27 and includes four days and three nights, for $2,295.



The stage start is in Vail Village. Program highlights include:

• Three nights accommodations at a “deluxe resort” in the heart of Vail Village.



• Stage 3 start viewing from VIP seating with catered buffet and live TV feed.

• Stage 4 start viewing from VIP seating with catered buffet and live TV feed in Avon (including transfers to/from Vail).

• Gift bag, official event merchandise.



• Special access to post-stage press conferences.

The USA Pro Cycling Challenge is expected to be the largest spectator event in Colorado history and one of the largest sporting events to ever take place in the United States.For seven consecutive days, 128 of the world’s top athletes will race across nearly 600 miles through the Rockies.

Vail hosts a time trial Aug. 25 and Avon hosts a stage start on Aug. 26.
