ALL |

Sahli, an American painter and teacher of the Russian School of Realism, and Vail Fine Art Gallery are offering the public special opportunities to see an artist living his works. As the gallery’s Artist in Residence, Sahli will spend each day plein-air painting area landscapes, historic buildings and other local icons, and will then participate in a daily viewing hour at Vail Fine Art Gallery to share his morning and afternoon work. Art enthusiasts can shadow Sahli on the path of his life as an artist, both painting and exhibiting.

In addition to Sahli’s daily sketches and paintings, Vail Fine Art Gallery will feature a collection of his larger pieces, painted prior to the Artist in Residence event. His subjects celebrate the colorful and spectacular West, while his use of color, light and passion reveal his training in the Russian School of Realism.

Vail Fine Art Gallery is located in Crossroads Center at 141 E. Meadow Drive. Call them at 476-2900. For additional background on Sahli, visit his Web site at http://www.sahlistudio.com, or call (303) 670-8615.
