COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. ” Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is back in Colorado as early voting opens in this swing state.

Palin has speeches planned in Colorado Springs, Loveland and Grand Junction on Monday. Supporters in Colorado Springs are asked to wear red in a show of support.

John McCain’s running mate has been to Colorado twice since joining the campaign. But polls indicate she has more work to do to appeal to Colorado women.

According to a telephone poll conducted for Quinnipiac University earlier this month, a majority of likely female voters said Palin is not qualified to be vice president. Just 37 percent said they had a favorable impression of her.

That poll was conducted Oct. 8-12 and had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percent.
