VAIL – In celebration of Mother’s Day on Sunday, The Vitality Center at Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa in Vail is offering two restorative options just for mom: an Anjali restorative yoga session; and a 50-minute massage or 50-minute facial. The Anjali restorative yoga practice is $20 per person and runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m. The 50-minute spa treatments can be reserved based upon availability and are priced at $90 per treatment; the Anjali restorative yoga practice is included with either treatment. The Anjali restorative yoga session is a guided practice taught by Julia Clarke. No previous yoga experience is necessary and all levels are welcome. During the practice, the body is lovingly sustained by bolsters and blankets in a series of gentle, reclining postures meant to soothe the nervous system and engage the body’s natural ability to heal. Poignant imagery, thoughtful meditations and gentle Pranayama techniques are used to nurture the mind and imagination, and invoke a sense of graceful alignment with time and space. This is not an asana practice; cozy, comfortable clothing and socks are welcome. The Spa at Vail Mountain Lodge, part of The Vitality Center, offers genuine holistic therapies. Beyond indulgence and pampering, The Spa’s highly trained practitioners guide guests into a state of deep relaxation. The 50-minute classical massage incorporates a variety of techniques to promote relaxation, relieve muscle tension and increase circulation. The 50-minute facial is designed to enliven and nurture the skin. For more information or to register for the Anjali restorative yoga session or to reserve a 50-minute spa treatment on Sunday, Mother’s Day, contact The Vitality Center at Vail Mountain Lodge & Spa at 970-476-7960 or visit http://www.vailvitalitycenter.com.
