Parking lots at Ford Park to close for Snow Daze in Vail
VAIL, Colorado – Beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12 through 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17, the Ford Park and Soccer Field parking lots will be closed to accommodate the Snow Daze concerts. Parking options for all pink parking pass holders will include use of the Vail Village or Lionshead structures during the closure. Pass holders will need to insert their cards into the validation equipment as they enter and exit the structures.The Snow Daze concert line up at Ford Park includes The Shins on Thursday with opening act Divine Fits, followed by Michael Franti and Spearhead on Friday with opening act Nic Cowan & The Remedy. On Saturday, Wilco takes the stage for the headliner concert with opening act Nathaniel Rateliff. The Ford Park concert venues open at 6 p.m. for the performances which begin at 6:30 p.m. Visit http://www.vail.com/snowdaze for details and ticket information.Bus service will be provided to and from Ford Park before and after the concerts. No vehicle drop-off or pick-up locations will be available from the South Frontage Road for Ford Park. Also, motorists may encounter delays on the South Frontage Road between Vail Valley Drive and the Pulis Bridge/Golf Course area during those times. Traffic control will be provided before, during and after the concert. Motorists are asked to exercise caution while driving in this area.Overflow parking will be allowed in designated areas on the north side of South Frontage Road if both the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures fill to capacity.
The person found in the Blue River on Monday afternoon has been identified as John Scott Still, 53, according to the Summit County Coroner’s Office.
