Parking structure maintenance begins Monday
VAIL — Beginning at 2 a.m. Monday, Vail Public Works crews will begin washing and striping the Vail Village parking structure. The work will be done in stages to accommodate parking demand and is targeted for completion on or about May 21. To help facilitate the maintenance, drivers are asked to avoid entering areas that are coned or taped off.
Following completion of the Vail Village parking structure, crews will begin washing and striping the Lionshead parking structure for completion on or about May 30, depending on the weather.
Company officials say every aspect of Vail management is now focused on attaining the company’s goal of achieving a zero net operating footprint by 2030. Vail Resorts calls the plan their “Commitment to Zero,” and defines it a zero net carbon emissions by 2030, zero waste to landfills, and zero operating impact on forests and natural habitat.
