The right lane of eastbound Interstate 70 was closed for several hours Friday evening near Copper Mountain after a fatal rollover accident, the Colorado State Patrol said.

All lanes were reopened by 7:10 p.m.

A State Patrol spokeswoman said 35-year-old Omar Reyes, of Glenwood Springs, faces a criminal charge of careless driving resulting in death after he lost control of his blue Honda Odyssey at 2:55 p.m., crossing from the left lane into the right lane and rolling the van.

A passenger in Reyes’ van died at the scene, the State Patrol said. The victim was not identified Friday.
