Ivan Venzor is a “special needs” student at Eagle Valley High School. He sent us the following poem. If you’re not sitting down, you probably should for this one. Keep a tissue handy, too.I am a good son and brother I wonder if I will ever runI hear frogs singing in the nightI see me driving somedayI want to be wealthy
I am a good son and brotherI pretend to run while sitting in my chairI feel trapped in my chairI touch the fur of the Great Dane I wish to haveI worry that I will never get marriedI cry when I get hitI am a good son and brother
I understand I will always have Cerebral PalsyI say I am just like everyone elseI dream of driving a hot carI try my best to readI hope my parents will always be marriedI am a good son and brother
Thank youEdwards Elementary School would like to thank the Snow Riders Safety Alliance for presenting a very educational and entertaining safety talk to the students this week. The alliance focused on general skier/rider safety on the mountain and knowing the responsibility code. McGruff the crime dog and Beaver Creek Ski Patrol dog Blue also helped out. This presentation helped to prepare students for their “Learn to Ski” days on the mountain, also this week. ….
