EAGLE — Petals of Provence is growing at a new location in Eagle after more than 12 years of doing business from Edwards.
The floral designer serves the entire valley, from weddings and hotels to corporate offices and homes.
“We’re installing and delivering six to seven days a week,” said owner Dora Farley.
The store’s new address is 850 Chambers Ave., No. 1, and the new phone number is 970-328-5884. The business may also be reached by emailing flowers@petalsof provence.com and the website, which is still being updated, is http://www.petalsofprovence.com.
A grand opening is from 4 to 7 p.m. June 27. Refreshments will be served, Farley will showcase new summer designs, door prizes will be awarded and a lucky winner will get a $100 gift certificate. Farley said the event is especially geared toward concierges and people in the service industry but everyone is welcome.

“We can do any style but we are known for a French style, such as French bunching, where we play off one or two colors of high-end flowers,” Farley said. “We don’t use any of those filler flowers like you see in bouquets at the grocery store. We try to use fresh, unique flowers that come from all over the world.”
She added that prices often vary, depending on what a customer wants.
“We try to work with anyone’s budget — it’s all very customized,” she said.
“She is really good at understanding what a client wants,” said Holly Tharaldson, who works for Farley as a designer.
Farley has been in the flower business since she was a teenager, and that’s also how she met her husband, whose family owns a floral business in another state.
“I married into a flower family,” she said. “This is a family-owned business.”
She said the reason for moving out of the space in Edwards is that it was too big.
