Join The Handstand Tribe on Sunday, Oct. 9, at 12:30 p.m. at Aria Club and Spa in Vail. Yoga teacher Tracy Long will lead “Feeling Chicken,” an hour and a half handstand workshop that will help all students demystify and de-scarify this challenging yoga pose. Handstand is a practice unto itself. It is a personal journey, and for many, it can take years before gaining any sense of mastery. Handstand invites yogis into deep study of how we place ourselves in the world. It offers lessons on strength, integration, awareness and trust. In this workshop, students will methodically work through key anatomical actions in order to confidently approach supported and unsupported handstand in the middle of the room. All ability levels are welcome; the cost is $20. For more information, call Aria at 970-476-7400.
