Special to the Daily

Brooklyn roots-rock ensemble The Hollows will play a show at Crazy Mountain Brewing Co. in Edwards on Thursday, July 7. At first glance, The Hollows appear to be a ragtag set of traveling performers, but when the first notes reach your ears — whether from a sweet and breezy mandolin, a whiskey-tuned banjo or an unrepentant guitar — it’s clear the sound of The Hollows is uniquely New York: a harmonic melting pot that takes all of its roots, twists them around and produces something new. The scruffy ensemble of multi-instrumentalists Justin Aaronson, Jeffrey Kurtze, Daniel Kwiatkowski, Rob Morrison, David Paarlberg and Erik Saxvik might just as soon swap glockenspiels, trumpets and harmonicas as plug in an electric guitar or a synthesizer. The show starts at 6:30 p.m., and there’s no cover. Visit thehollowsonline.com to learn more.
