Colorado State University Extension will host a workshop titled Canning at Altitude at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31. Learn about the most up-to-date recommendations for preserving fresh foods safely at high altitude, including the guidelines about the how and why for each preservation method and which method best suits your needs. The workshop focuses on canning safety and the difference between hot-water bath canning and pressure canning for beginners or those needing a refresher.
