Photo: Costumed characters, live raptors at WinterFest in Beaver Creek
Beaver Creek Loves Kids WinterFest continues Saturday, Dec. 26. The afternoon of family-friendly activities begins at 3:30 p.m. with the Nature’s Educators Raptor Exhibit. Come see these real-life animal ambassadors and learn about their habitats and personalities. Nature’s Educators is a nonprofit wildlife program focusing on raptors with a mission to teach anyone and everyone about the importance of birds of prey. Following the exhibit is the Kids’ Winter Wonder Parade at 4 p.m., where children can join the Winter Characters — Helayna the Ice Princess, Prince Chestnut, Fedgewick the Storyteller and Scurry and Snowflake the troublesome elves — in a parade starting at the Plaza Stage in Beaver Creek Plaza. The day wraps up with the Family FunFest Carnival from 4 to 5:30 p.m., with games, fun and prizes for kids of all ages.
