Alpine Arts Center and Art in Public Places will host Cupcakes, Cocktails & Canvas at Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, an evening of painting and cupcakes, on Thursday, Aug. 25. Canvases, brushes, paints, easels, aprons and cupcakes are included, and beer and wine can be purchased at the bar. The event runs from 4 to 6 p.m., and tickets are $40 for adults and $30 for kids.
