Special to the Daily

People’s Blues of Richmond brings a carnival-like mayhem to its dark, blues-infused psychedelic music. The duo will play Agave in Avon on Saturday, Feb. 6. Word is starting to spread about the manic intensity of co-founders and lifelong friends Tim Beavers (lead guitar, vox) and Matt Volkes (bass, vox) and their live performances, as they burn up the road in support of their most recent release, “Good Time Suicide.” They’ve shared bills with a diverse collection of bands, from Ghostland Observatory and Black Joe Lewis to Galactic and Flogging Molly. Doors open at 9:30 p.m., and tickets for the 21-and-older show are $10 in advance at www.agaveavon.com or at the door.
