Photo: DeadPhish Orchestra plays show at Vail Ale House in West Vail
DeadPhish Orchestra will play the Vail Ale House on Saturday, Jan. 16. The DeadPhish Orchestra is a quartet of Colorado musicians who, above all, are close friends who have played together for many years. They had played Grateful Dead songs together, and they had played Phish songs together. But they got to wondering what would happen if they tried to merge the music of these two bands, the Granddaddies and Daddies of the jam-band scene. But both bands have an improvisational approach to their live shows, and it is in that spontaneity where the magic really happens. Doors open at 10 p.m., and there’s a $10 cover. Native Roots is also helping to sponsor this show and will be at the Ale House with giveaways. For more information, visit http://www.vailalehouse.com or call 970-476-4314.
