Photo: Learn to paint the still life with Artist Don Sahli, July 20-22
“Spring Impressions Bear Creek,” by Don Sahli. Artist Don Sahli will teach a three-day workshop titled Painting the Still Life from Wednesday, July 20, through Friday, July 22, at Colorado Mountain College in Edwards as part of the Vail Summer Art Institute. Students will paint in the studio, using the still life as a vehicle to play with color and temperature, and will learn start to finish how to develop a way to paint a still life. Sahli will demonstrate, lecture and meet each student at his or her own level of understanding. Sahli has been a professional painter and art teacher for more than 35 years and is represented by galleries across the country and in private collections nationally and internationally. The workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, and the cost to enroll is $325. To learn more about Sahli, visit http://www.donsahli.com.
