Photo: Ninth-annual Youth Foundation Turkey Trot is Thanksgiving Day

The ninth-annual Turkey Trot will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26. Preregistration for the family and pet-friendly 5K run/walk through Eagle-Vail is $10 per person until noon Wednesday, Nov. 25, and $15 per person on race day. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the race starts at 9:30 a.m. at the Eagle-Vail Pool. The first 500 registrants receive a T-shirt. All proceeds benefit the Youth Foundation and the Eric Spry Memorial Scholarship Fund, established in memory of local runner and Battle Mountain High School graduate Eric Spry.
