See to Center will play a free show Friday, Dec. 4, at the Vail Ale House, 2161 North Frontage Road W. in Vail. Based around the catchy songwriting of front man Chris Carter, See to Center blends thick organic textures with traditional electronic pop to create a unique musical experience. See to Center’s music captures the feelings and atmosphere intrinsic to a summer day’s slow fade into the dark of night, and Carter’s lyrics reflect the harmony and dissonance found in everyday struggles. Backing Carter is percussionist John Wiberg, who uses an array of exotic drums and flowing shakers to cultivate a hypnotic groove that weaves through the music. The show starts at 10 p.m. Visit http://www.vailalehouse.com or call 970-476-4314 to learn more.

It’s fitting that Eagle County is proceeding through its reopening phases of COVID-19 in an analogy to ski run difficulties — green to blue to black. Monday marks the transition from the green beginner phase to the blue intermediate phase.
