Photo: Shake your Bavarian booty at Vail Oktoberfest in Lionshead
Special to the Daily |
The Altitones close out Vail Oktoberfest festivities in Lionshead Village for the day on Saturday, Sept. 12, with a set from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. The Altitones were created serendipitously by some of the Vail Valley’s transported talent, playing an array of soul-rocking, body-shaking, mind-blowing tunes. The day begins with Helmut Fricker and the Rhinelanders at noon, followed by the Klement’s Bratwurst Eating Contest, a couple of rounds of Bavarian dancers, a Bavarian costume contest, adult keg bowling, music from Walter’s Austrian Swiss Connection and a stein-lifting competition. Admission is free, and food and beverages will be available for purchase. For more information, visit http://www.vailoktoberfest.com.
