Special to the Daily
The Sessh will take the stage at Ed Fest in its new location at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater on Saturday, Aug. 20. The Sessh launched a new official website, www.contrabassomusic.com, in anticipation of a string of live shows and a new recording due out in the fall. The new recording showcases the band’s electro-funk style, and the collaborative project includes artists Terrence Higgins (Dirty Dozen Brass Band), CR Gruver (New Orleans Suspects), Pete Wall (The Motet) and Ron Haynes Game Changers (Lenny Kravitz and Liquid Soul). The band will perform from 5 to 6:45 p.m., followed by Trombone Shorty and the Orleans Avenue and DJ Logic. For more information about Ed Fest, visit www.edfestbeer.com.
