Photo: Workshops teach chronic-illness management
The Gypsum Public Library will host two more Healthier Living Colorado workshops today and Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Healthier Living Colorado is a chronic disease self-management program developed at Stanford University, and the workshops teach you how to cope with chronic illness — heart disease, arthritis, diabetes, asthma, bronchitis, emphysema or cancer — to improve health and quality of life. Each workshop provides simple and practical techniques to help reduce pain, increase energy, follow doctor’s instructions and do the activities you love despite your health problems. This program is presented in partnership with the Eagle Valley Library District and Eagle County Public Health. For more information or to sign up, contact the Gypsum Public Library at 970-524-5080. Friends and families are also encouraged to attend.
