Jake Miller rounds a corner during the Stone Creek Charter School Jog-A-Thon held Sept. 27 at the Gypsum campus. Stone Creek’s 290 students in kindergarten through eighth grade participated in the fundrasier. According to John Brendza, the school’s principal, the event raises between $20,000 and $30,000 annually as kids collect pledges for the number of times they can round the track in 30 minutes. “It’s also about the message of physical fitness and getting kids moving,” Brendza said.
