Plan ahead to Fun for the Future at Eagle Flight Days
EAGLE — Most of the activities during Eagle’s Flight Days celebration — planned this Friday and Saturday, June 23 and 24 — are of the show-up-and-play variety. However, there is one event where a bit of pre-planning in advised.
That’s because if you don’t pre-register, you might not get a T-shirt.
The annual Run for the Future/Jake Brock Memorial Run will be presented by the Eagle Valley High School Booster Club on Saturday, June 24. Registration starts at 6:45 a.m. and the 5K run/walk begins at 7:30 a.m. The race start and finish will be on Wall Street between Sixth and Seventh streets. Participants have a 90-minute time limit to complete the course.
The course will loop through Eagle Ranch. Run results will be listed at http://www.flightdaysfundruns.com.
The entry fee for the event is $25 for individuals or $50 for families through Friday, June 23. Registration forms are available at Eagle Town Hall or Gypsum Town Hall.
Registration will be accepted on race day, but the price goes up to $30 per person and the T-shirt supply will be limited.
Along with the 5K Run/Walk, a 1K kids fun run is planned at 9 a.m. All participants will receive a ribbon.
The event helps continue the memory of Jake Brock’s love of running and reminds everyone not to drink and drive.
