Police: Alcohol test results swiped in Eagle
Eagle, CO Colorado
EAGLE, Colorado –A woman might have stolen alcohol test results from an Eagle office.
Eagle police were dispatched to the office on June 11, where an employee told police about the theft.
The employee said she had an appointment with a woman and was talking to her about the positive results of an alcohol test she had submitted.
The woman requested a copy of her test results but the employee said she would have to go through the district attorney’s office.
After the office visit, the employee stepped out to make a copy of other papers for the woman, leaving the woman alone with the test result papers on the desk.
The employee said she heard papers being shuffled in the other room as she made copies.
After the woman left, the employee noticed the test results were missing.
When police called the woman about the test results, she became defensive. She declined an interview with police for fear of being arrested, according to the report.
Officials issued the woman a ticket for abuse of public records and obstruction of government operations.
With a pitched battle brewing in the state legislature over his signature “public option” health insurance bill (HB19-1004) from last session, state Rep. Dylan Roberts, D-Avon, is urging calm before the coming storm.
