Police identify body of man found in Vail
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL, Colorado ” Authorities said they are still investigating the death of a 48-year-old man whose body was found in his Vail, Colorado apartment Sunday morning.
The man was identified as David Mallory, and a cause of death is not yet determined, Eagle County Coroner Kara Bettis said.
The autopsy and toxicology reports on the body will be finished by the end of today. Vail Police responded to a call from Mallory’s father, who was concerned that he had not heard from his son in over a week, and that he had not heard from him over Thanksgiving. Police arrived at Mallory’s West Vail home and found the body.
Mallory had moved to Vail two weeks ago from New York and lived alone at the Homestake Condominiums on Vail View Drive in West Vail. Vail Police Officer Brad Baldwin said the death is still under investigation, and that police do not know how long Mallory had been dead.
Police and coroner’s officers said that the preliminary investigation did not show any suspicious circumstances.
