EAGLE ” Police are still investigating an armed robbery that occurred in the Eagle Diner parking lot last week.

The robbery happened at about 9 p.m. Thursday when a diner employee who was sitting in her car in the parking lot and a man and a woman approached her. The man then showed a handgun and demanded her money, police said.

The suspects got away in a large light-colored, four-door car, but police do not know in which direction.

“We’re following up on some leads that have taken us to some other jurisdictions,” Eagle police Chief Rick Sliger said. “We’ll have some information in a day or two.”

The suspects were described as a white man approximately 20 to 25 years old wearing dark clothing and a younger woman with light or blonde hair.

“As far as we know, it’s an isolated incident,” Sliger said. “We have been in contact with other jurisdictions to see if there has been a similar crime, but we’re not aware of any.

“I don’t see this as an ongoing enterprise,” he added. “We see this as an isolated incident and we’re following up on some leads to identify the suspects.”

Eagle police are asking anyone who might have information about this crime to call (970) 328-6351.
