Police: Man broke into Avon trailer

AVON, Colorado – Avon police are looking for a man who allegedly broke into a home in the Aspens mobile home park and assaulted a woman Thursday morning, Lt. Greg Daly said.

Police are not releasing any more details about the incident, which happened around 10 a.m.

According to descriptions:

The suspect is a 5’3″ Hispanic man in his 30s. He has an athletic build and muscular arms. His hair is black, straight and longer on top with gray hair slicked back on the sides. The man had a goatee and dark, blood shot eyes. He wore a large, clear diamond stud earring. He also wore white rubber gloves. The suspect was last seen wearing a white tank top, “newer-colored” blue jeans and yellow work boots. He had been carrying a black sweatshirt or sweater.

Police urge anyone with information about the suspect to call Avon Detective Aurion Hassinger at 970-748-4013 or Eagle County Crime Stoppers. People can call Crime Stoppers at 970-328-7007 or 1-800-972-TIPS. They can submit tips online at http://www.tipsubmit.com or text STOPCRIME plus the message to CRIMES (274637). If the tip leads to the arrest and indictment of any suspect involved, the person who provided the tip could earn a reward as high as $1,000.

Police searched for the suspect Thursday morning but were unable to find him, Daly said. Avon police, Colorado State Patrol, Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, Minturn Police Department and Vail Police Department responded.
