EDWARDS – A 25-year-old man faces a theft charge for pocketing a bottle of scotch at an Edwards liquor store.

The man allegedly stole the $30 bottle of Johnnie Walker Red Label Scotch around 8 p.m. July 29 from Riverwalk Wine and Spirits. A surveillance video showed a man in a dark hoodie stuff the bottle down the front of his pants.

Graffiti appears on Edwards home

EDWARDS – Graffiti artists struck in Homestead. Someone sprayed “ETP” on four residents’ garages and one man’s SUV. The graffiti artist also left his or her “ETP” signature on a variety of street signs and sidewalks in the area, including the main sign for Match Point Condominiums. A Homestead resident contacted police about graffiti on his garage on July 27, prompted police to canvass the area in search of other damage. Estimated damage to the various property adds up to at least $850.
