Police search for sex assault suspect

EAGLE COUNTY – The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office is trying to locate a suspect believed to be involved in a sexual assault.
An arrest warrant was issued for Daniel Perez Lozoya, 32, of Edwards, on Nov. 14 for sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.
At about 1:50 p.m. on Nov. 13, The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident were a 13-year-old was reporting that Daniel Perez Lozoya had touched the child inappropriately. Deputies responded to the suspect’s home but were unable to locate him.
Daniel Perez Lozoya is described as a Hispanic male, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. Lozoya is known to frequent the Lake Creek Village and Eagle River Village areas of Edwards.
