Police to crackdown on drunk driving in Vail Valley

VAIL VALLEY -With Memorial Day several high school graduations taking place this weekend, police in the Vail Valley say they will crackdown on drunk driving and increase enforcement of seat belt use. The Gore Range DUI Task Force, consisting of Avon, and Vail Police Departments, Eagle County Sheriffs Office, and Colorado State Patrol, will conduct a zero-tolerance enforcement effort from Friday to Monday.Avon police remind drivers to always use safety restraints and child safety seats correctly, have a designated driver and move over and slow down when approaching emergency vehicles with their lights flashing.
