GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) — Police in Colorado say a man wanted in a murder in Utah led authorities on two dangerous chases and briefly kidnapped a woman after breaking into her home to change his clothes and steal her car.

Thirty-four-year-old James Main, Jr. was arrested Sunday afternoon in Grand Junction after a chase, about 24 hours after authorities first received word that he might be in the area. He is being held in connection with the death of 56-year-old man in Duschene (Doo’-shane) County, Utah. It’s not known if he has a lawyer yet.

Police are still sorting through what other crimes Main may have been involved in between the first chase Saturday and his capture. Several attempted carjackings were reported as police searched for him. A man involved in a hit-and-run crash also escaped after apparently stealing a bicycle.
