Polis to hold telephone Town Hall for Vail Valley
VAIL VALLEY, Colorado –U.S. Rep. Jared Polis, who represents Colorado’s Vail Valley in Congress, will host a live telephone town hall at 7 p.m. Wednesday for residents of Colorado’s Second Congressional District. Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius also will participate.
Callers will be able to ask Polis and Sebelius questions about federal health insurance reform proposals currently being considered in Congress.
“As a member of Congress, right now my job is to answer questions and dispel rumors about health care reform before we return to Washington,” said Polis, who held a town hall meeting on health care reform in Edwards earlier this month. “Secretary Sebelius has been a key player in the health care debate and is a great source of information on President Obama’s plans for reform. I encourage all my constituents to take part in this call.”
The call is for residents of Colorado’s Second Congressional District only. For information on how to participate in the call, residents should call Polis’ offices in Washington, 202-225-2161, or Boulder, 303-484-9596 or visit his Web site http://www.polis.house.gov.
