Polis, Vail Valley’s congressman, kicks off re-election campaign
Vail, CO Colorado
FRISCO – U.S. Rep. Jared Polis, whose district includes the Vail Valley, launched his bid for a second term in Congress Thursday. The congressman will conduct a tour of informal public gatherings throughout the 2nd Congressional District to meet constituents and talk about the issues of concern to them.
“Last year, the people of Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District sent me to Congress because they wanted new leadership in Washington,” Polis said. “Since being elected, I have worked hard to be a different kind of congressman – to find innovative solutions to the complex problems being tackled in Congress and to continue to be a vehicle for the knowledge and creativity of the people of Colorado.”
The first leg of the tour will include a stop in Frisco at 4 p.m., Sunday, at the Backcountry Brewery at the corner of Main Street and Summit Boulevard. The tour will continue through February and include events in every county in the district. All events are free and open to the public.
