Those interested in joining Polly Letofsky at Gore Creek Campground for the last miles of her five-year walk around the world, should meet there on at 9:30 a.m., today. Musicians and other entertainers are encouraged to join the walk with their instruments perform along the route. The organizers of the homecoming are asking people to carpool as parking is limited.
There will be a bring-your-own lunch picnic lunch at 12:30 p.m. at Ford Park.
The “Final Mile” parade will begin at the International Bridge in Vail Village at 2:30 p.m. The parade will proceed to Billy’s Island Grill in Lionshead. There will be a Community Celebration at 3:30 p.m.
Donations to the Vail Breast Cancer Awareness Group will be welcome throughout the day.
