Pot found in jacket at elementary school

EAGLE, Colorado –Eagle Police were called to Brush Creek Elementary School last week on a report of some marijuana found at the school.

When the officer arrived, the school office personnel handed over an XXL L.L. Bean orange fleece jacket that had a small bag of marijuana in one of the pockets. The office staff told the officer that the jacket had been turned in to the school’s lost and found, where the custodian discovered the marijuana.

The custodian noted he did not know where the jacket came from.

The officer seized the marijuana, which weighed 4.1 grams. According to a sticker on the bag, the marijuana came from a medical marijuana dispensary.

There are no leads in the case.
