Premier Impressions program is back for new season
Its that time of year again. Now that you have attended the Turn It Up! class or one of your co-workers has and you have informed your fellow employees about what customer service means, you are ready to get involved with Premier Impressions. Premier Impressions is our way of rewarding employees, for putting to work the customer service skills taught at Turn It Up! This is the seventh year for Premier Impressions and it continues to be sponsored by Vail Chamber & Business Association, Vail Resorts and the town of Vail. The Vail Chamber & Business Association already has passed out thousands of Premier Impressions nominee forms to businesses around Vail. Premier Impressions allows customers to seize the opportunity to fill out a nomination form as a way of thanking an employee who has made their experience memorable. Forms are available at most businesses, in the Vail Daily, at the Chamber office and can also be downloaded from the Vail Chamber Web site. Once completed, the forms can be mailed, e-mailed or dropped off at the Vail Chamber office. Each nomination will be evaluated and winners will receive a $50 Vail Gift Card, which is good at more than 200 businesses in Vail. Winners will also see their names printed in the Vail Daily. As in years past, there will be a celebration party at the end of the season which is open to all nominees, a guest and employers. The location has yet to be announced, although each winner will want to attend as they will be eligible for more prizes and giveaways, including the grand prize of $5,000 cash. The best part about the program is there is no limit to the number of times each person can be nominated, so keep up the good work as you might be nominated again!Premier Impressions works in both the business and employees favor. By displaying nomination forms in your business you are promoting excellence in customer service. You are giving employees the opportunity to use the information learned at Turn It Up! while being recognized for it. Employees have an even bigger incentive to do their very best, because there is now a reward involved. Employee appreciation is the number-one way to motivate your staff and this program has been proven to increase excellence in customer service in the workplace. Premier Impressions runs until March 31, 2008, so employees have most of the season to practice the ways they will leave a lasting, positive impression on the customers they serve every day. The Vail Chamber & Business Association gives away about 40 gift certificates every month to lucky winners who receive the award. If your business is interested in benefiting from the Premier Impressions program, contact Vail Chamber & Business Association and we will deliver nominee forms to you. You can contact the Chamber by calling 477-0075 or dropping by the office in the Vail Transportation Center at 241 S. Frontage Road. Forms can be downloaded at vailchamber.org and e-mailed to email@example.com. Lourdes Ferzacca is president of the Vail Chamber & Business Association Board of Directors.
