Prepare for Wine in the Pines
KEYSTONE – The 24th Annual Wine in the Pines is Oct.19 and 20 at Keystone.Wine in the Pines, which is gaining national renown as a premier wine and culinary event, benefits the 61-year-old Cerebral Palsy of Colorado.
Attendees at Wine in the Pines will taste some of Colorado’s most savory cuisine prepared by Keystone’s foremost chefs and paired with wines from around the world. The two-day event draws an audience from coast to coast, opening on Friday evening with the a winemaker’s dinner featuring Renwood Winery’s finest reserves. The premier sponsor party is held at the Keystone Ranch Restaurant. The Ranch has been named the best restaurant in Colorado for two years in a row in the prestigious ZAGATSurvey, and the restaurant is a Wine Spectator DiRoNA winner.
The evening begins with Champagne and hors d’oeuvres by the fireplace in the the original 1930s ranch homestead. Guests will be served a five-course meal prepared by Executive Chef Aaron Taylor.
The Gourmet Food and International Wine Tasting is Saturday, Oct. 20 at 6 p.m. at the Keystone Conference Center. Jazz diva Tina Navarro will entertain. Chefs stand at attention waiting to show off their creative talents in a bid to see who can create the most unique food that is both delicious and fun. Visitors try to match the complexities with the over 500 international wines being sampled. A major part of the event is the “We Care Wine and Spirit Auction.” A wide variety of celebrities, dignitaries and socialites have donated autographed bottles to be auctioned off at Saturday’s event. Capacity attendance of 1,000 guests will celebrate at the Gourmet Food and International Wine Tasting. Tickets range from $100-$300 depending on which night you attend.
