From the start, folks behind the Eagle County Fair knew that every baby is beautiful. So, calling their competition a Pretty Baby Contest is a bit misleading.In the fair contests case, pretty often reflects costuming initiative and quirky genetics.The 2008 Pretty Baby Contest is planned Saturday, Aug. 2 at the Eagle River Center. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. and the contest gets under way at 10 a.m.The competition is open to tots ages infant to three years. Contestants can enter all of the six categories, but they can only win once. Winners receive a $50 savings bond.The six contest categories are: Best Dressed for the Fair costume Looks most like mom or dad Best beach wear ensemble Best hair-do Prettiest smile Most patriotic
