Project Runway star coming to Vail
VAIL, Colorado -Anthony Williams, a fan favorite of Lifetime TV’s Project Runway, will be in town to meet with the Vail Valley Medical Center Volunteer Corps fashion team to discuss the 2011 spring fashion show. The March 23, 2011 Fashion Show & Luncheon will once again be held at the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort and Spa and will feature Williams’ custom-designed evening collection. Vail’s Charm School Boutique will provide the ready-to-wear collection for the show and Williams’ custom collection will be the grand finale. All proceeds from the fashion show benefit the Vail Valley Medical Center.”We really wanted to keep it community based by featuring a local store and models, but also take it up a notch this year by bringing in a fashion celebrity,” say’s Anna-Maria Ray, the 2011 chair for the show. “Anthony’s point of view and design aesthetic really brings an element to the show that we have not previously seen in past years. The cohesiveness of the collection will provide luncheon attendees a glimpse of what is being seen at New York and Paris Fashion week.”Williams has designed gowns for Project Runway super model Heidi Klum and actress Jessica Alba. Vail Valley ladies will be strutting the runway in gowns that will be custom designed for them by Anthony. For more information on the 2011 fashion show, call 970-479-7244.
