AVON -When it comes to water, you can pretty much expect the Colorado Legislature to be considering a quiver full of legislation each year, and this year is no different. The various proposals will be discussed at this afternoon’s Waterwise Wednesday session, a monthly education lecture series about water sponsored by the Eagle River Watershed Council. The meeting begin is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the Avon Library. Water lawyer Phill Holleman will give a “pro-recreational” perspective of the some of the bills in the Legislature. A topic of legislation that will be discussed is Senate Bill 62 – sponsored by State Sen. Jack Taylor, a Republican who represents Eagle County – that seeks to regulate the new recreational water rights more tightly.Space for the session is limited. To reserve a spot at Waterwise Wednesday, call the Avon Library at 827-5406.Vail, Colorado
