MINTURN ” Residents will get to comment Wednesday night on the private ski resort the Ginn Development Co. wants to build south of town.

The regular meeting of Minturn Town Council begins at 7 p.m. at Minturn Town Center, 302 Pine St. Residents may speak after a presentation from the town’s engineering firm about Ginn traffic around 8 p.m., said Interim Town Manager Gary Suiter.

Residents did not get to comment until 11:25 p.m. at the last meeting, but Suiter said the public comment period has been moved up on the agenda for Wednesday’s meeting.

Comments on the development are recorded and kept in the town’s records, he said. If a citizen is taking action through initiative or referendum, those are the documents they would use, Suiter said.

Ginn wants to build a private ski resort and golf course, and 1,700 homes and condominiums, on and around Battle Mountain, south of Minturn.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

In June, town councilors began hearing Ginn’s proposal to decide whether to annex Ginn’s property into Minturn.
