Pueblo school temporarily closes over flu concerns

PUEBLO, Colorado – A school in Pueblo is closing for three days, after about 30 percent of students reported flulike illnesses.

Cesar Chavez Academy is closed Thursday, Friday and Monday. Classes are scheduled to resume Tuesday.

The school has about 1,200 students, from kindergarten through eighth grade.

Health officials say closing the school should help minimize the spread of disease.
